Is my driving licence valid?
China
Your national licence is valid for 12 months after arrival – bring an English translation or the notary certificate (公证书). No International Driving Permit needed.
USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore
Your valid national licence is accepted. An International Driving Permit is recommended if your licence is not in Latin script.
EU / EFTA
Your national licence is accepted as it is.

Free handover at Zurich Airport (ZRH), in the city of Zurich and the town of Zug. Other Swiss airports are possible – you see the delivery price before paying. No rental desk, no queue.
Phone as key
Install the official Tesla app. Shortly before your rental you get a driver invitation – unlock and start by phone. A key card is in the car too.
Insured & road-ready
Fully insured, with the Swiss motorway vignette already on the windscreen. Trips to neighbouring countries are allowed.
Charging made simple
Plug in at any Tesla Supercharger – the car pays by itself. Charging is settled after your rental at actual cost plus 10 % (min. CHF 1 per session).

Do I need an International Driving Permit?
Usually not. Licences in English or another Latin script are accepted directly; for a Chinese licence an English translation or notary certificate is enough.
Which payment methods work?
Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. American Express is not accepted.
Can I drive to Italy, France, Germany or Austria?
Yes, trips to all neighbouring countries are allowed.

Driving in Switzerland with a Chinese licence
Your national Chinese driving licence is valid in Switzerland for 12 months after arrival.
