Renting a Tesla in Switzerland: charging, vignette & what's included

Handover & Tesla app

Download the official Tesla app beforehand. Shortly before your rental starts you receive a driver invitation to your Tesla account – letting you unlock, pre-condition and start the car by phone. A key card is also in the car. For your first rental we hand over in person, check your licence and walk you through the essentials.

Charging on the road

The easiest way to charge is at Tesla Superchargers – the car plans them into navigation automatically and pays without a charging card. Charging costs are generally not included in the rental price; we bill them transparently based on actual consumption. Important: move the car promptly after charging, otherwise Tesla charges idle fees.

Range & return

You receive the car charged. Plan longer trips with the Tesla navigation – it shows the expected battery level at arrival. To avoid additional costs, we recommend returning the car with at least 75 % charge. If the charge level at return is lower than at handover, a charging fee of up to CHF 100 may apply – it already covers all related costs, including the recharging itself.

Winter, passes & AWD

All our Teslas have all-wheel drive and quality winter tyres in winter. We deliberately don't offer snow chains – with AWD and good winter tyres they are not needed on Swiss roads. Cold and mountain driving raise consumption; downhill you recover energy.

Insurance, vignette & abroad

Every Tesla is fully insured and carries a valid Swiss motorway vignette. Trips to neighbouring countries and the EU are allowed; you are responsible for local traffic and customs rules. In an emergency call 117 (police) or 144 (ambulance) first, then tesly immediately.

Delivery & payment

We deliver across Switzerland. No extra charge in the city of Zurich and at the airport; you see the delivery fee for other places before booking. The online booking shows the total price transparently; companies can get an invoice with VAT shown separately.
